Thomasville, Thomasville, NC
In addition to a 326-92-2 record during his two separate tenures as head coach (1973-99, 2007-present) Brown won three Class 2-A state titles and a Class 1-AA championship in 2008. Between his regimes at Thomasville, Brown served as defensive coordinator under his son Benjie, who won three consecutive Class 1-AA state titles from 2004-06.
Clinton, Clinton, NC
During his three tenures and 18 seasons as the Dark Horses head coach, Lewis is 173-48 with four Class 2-A state championships. He also won a Class 3-A title at East Bladen in 1973 and a North Carolina Independent School state championship at Harrell's Christian Academy in 2005, making his overall record 285-137-6.
Murphy, Murphy, NC
Winner of four Class 1A titles during a stretch from 1986-96, Gentry returned to the top of the mountain in 2011. Western North Carolina's winningest head coach (334-171 overall record in 42 years), Gentry has directed the Bulldogs to the Class 1-A finals each of the past three seasons.
Havelock, Havelock, NC
Although he's only been a head coach for 11 years (the last six at Havelock) Bryant's program is currently among the best in the Tar Heel State. Eastern runners-up in 2009 and 2010, Bryant's Rams are the two-time reigning Class 3-A state titles, and have won 34 of their last 35 games.
Catholic, Charlotte, NC
With a record of 346-141-2 during his 40 seasons, Oddo is the winningest active head coach in North Carolina. His Cougars won Class 2-A titles in 1977 and 2004, and a Class 3-A title in 2005, each year completing a perfect season.
Reidsville, Reidsville, NC
A head coach for 32 years, Teague is a combined 239-86 and has won four Class 2-AA state championships, including back-to-back perfect seasons in 2007 and 2008. He retired after that 2008 title, but returned as head coach of the Rams this fall and has pushed his personal winning streak to 35 consecutive games.
Southwest Onslow, Jacksonville, NC
Entering his 26th year as the head coach of the Stallions, Padgett is 271-63 with a pair of state runners-up to go along with three Class 2-A state titles and a Class 1-AA title in 2012.
Plymouth, Plymouth, NC
A winner of 205 games and Class 1-A state titles in 2007 and 2012 during his 29 years, Cody's teams are consistently one of the best in the state. Since the start of the 2010 season, the Vikings are 42-5.
